#XrisLogbook 191 - Recognition, Rush, Reconnection 🇲🇺
👍🏻 Something unexpected happened twice this week. While having coffee near Lucy’s school, I was approached twice by people who recognised me from my LinkedIn posts. Both were entrepreneurs based in Mauritius. After years of writing online, it feels quite strange when the digital world suddenly turns into a real conversation over coffee. ☕️
👎🏻 The container saga finally reached its destination yesterday. After August 18, August 31, customs, paperwork and one last-minute “we can deliver tomorrow” call, most of our belongings are finally here. Two sofas are still waiting for their grand entrance tomorrow… apparently getting them upstairs requires its own logistics operation. After weeks of chasing the container, the container has finally caught up with us. 📦
✍🏻 September has started and Europe is waking up again. New opportunities are moving, we’re preparing the exit of our Budapest real-estate portfolio, while I continue meeting entrepreneurs, friends and families arriving in Mauritius. Business in Europe, a new ecosystem taking shape here. Increasingly, it feels less like I’ve left one place for another and more like I’m learning to operate between both. 🌍
🙏🏻 Special thanks this week to Karl , Antoine , Serge , Alexandre , Hussein
🧭 One thought to take into the weekend:
Sometimes a new chapter doesn’t replace the previous one.
It simply makes your world a little bigger.
