ππ» Cocoon Bay is getting very close. Site visits have become almost daily, suppliers are being finalised, the website is taking shape and weβre starting to recruit the local team who will actually run the place. Thereβs an interesting moment in every project when you stop thinking only about building it and start thinking about making it work. I think weβre there. ποΈ
ππ» Our container was supposed to arrive on August 18. Then August 31. Add customs clearance and weβll probably see our belongings sometime in early September. Hopefully by then our new home will also be ready for us. Moving countries is apparently a masterclass in accepting that your calendar is mostly a suggestion. π¦
βπ» The EDB applications for my wife and my daughter are moving forward, at island pace. Local phones are sorted for Sophie and me, and now apparently Lucy needs one too. In London, school was literally across the road from home; here, sheβs starting to build her own little life, school, friends, activities, and suddenly being reachable matters. Another small administrative detail that somehow makes the move feel much bigger. π±
ππ» Special thanks this week to Michel , Veronique & Paul
π§ One thought to take into the weekend:
Big changes rarely become real through big moments.
They become real through a hundred small ones.
